This is the guy I was trying to remeber the other day. Not sure what he’s up to currently but he is usually pretty interesting. We’ll have to explore his website.

he’s done some interesting stuff! MIT seems to be a real centre for this kind of work. lookig at one of his works and waiting for video to download gave me an idea - i’ll post it separately.
